Paper Bones and Fragments of Fire Paper Bones and Fragments of Fire is a raw, intimate journey through darkness, addiction, and the search for light. Justin Medlin shares his life in poetry and short stories, from growing up in a household of addicts and abuse to confronting his own struggles with heroin and self-destruction. The collection captures the tension between despair and hope—hollow rooms, shattered bottles, and running from God, alongside moments of love, intimacy, and fleeting joy. Each piece is a fragment of memory, emotion, and resilience, revealing the complex path from survival to self-discovery. This is also a spiritual and emotional journey: questioning faith, finding grace, and embracing peace. Paper Bones and Fragments of Fire is for readers drawn to honesty, poetry, and the unvarnished beauty found in confronting life’s shadows and sparks of light. It is both heartbreaking and ultimately uplifting
