The Forgotten Ward
The Shift Never Ended.
Some secrets are better left unread.
While surveying the skeletal remains of Saint Jude's Hospital, Mike expects to find nothing more than asbestos and rot. Instead, tucked inside a locked desk in an abandoned ward, he finds a smartphone-fully charged, pristine, and buzzing with WhatsApp notifications.
The messages are coming from Room 402, a room that hasn't held a patient in decades.
The sender is asking for Nurse Sarah.
Mike's wife is named Sarah. She's a nurse. And she swears she's never stepped foot inside Saint Jude's. But as the messages turn from polite requests into jagged threats, the hospital's past begins to bleed into Mike's present.
When Mike discovers a staff photo from 1994, his world shatters. Standing in the center of the group is a woman who looks exactly like his wife-identical down to the dimple in her cheek and the haunted look in her eyes. But in 1994, his Sarah was only five years old.
Now, the basement door has jammed, the "typing..." bubbles won't stop, and his wife has stopped picking up her phone. Mike is starting to realize that he didn't just marry a woman with a past-he married a woman with a blueprint.
In the ruins of Saint Jude's, the Night Supervisor is waiting. And the shift is just beginning.
