Mansi Gawand is a sociologist, researcher, educator, and writer who finds meaning in understanding people, emotions, and society. She is pursuing her PhD in Sociology with an interdisciplinary focus on gender and politics and has experience in teaching and research.
Writing has always been a way for Mansi to give words to feelings that are often difficult to express. Her poetry explores childhood, love, loss, vulnerability, relationships, silence, self-worth, and healing.
Through *I Just Wanted a Little Happiness*, she hopes to remind readers that sensitivity is not weakness, choosing yourself is not selfish, and even after the hardest chapters, there is always a reason to hope.
She writes for anyone who has ever felt unseen, misunderstood, or simply wished that someone would say, **“I understand.”**
