The book follows a little girl named Maya who wake up one morning to find her "Crown" (her hair) is feeling a bit tired and thirsty. Suddenly, her three Crown Coaches—Kinky, Coily, and Curly—pop out of her magic mirror to take her on a journey through the Crown Kingdom to restore her hair's glow.
