The School of Warriors: Antibullying
The School of Warriors: Antibullying
Several years ago, Benny joined the secondary school located in Rainbow. A few classmates used to nickname him “Blacky” in an offensive manner because he was an African-descendant boy whose skin was naturally dark. Benny’s classmates intended to cause physical harm, overpowering Benny when acting in groups once and once again. The racial statements became more persistent, even though they sent text messages with negative meanings to his phone. His reaction toward these threats included minimization, anxiety, and fear.
Benny disclosed the bullying behaviour to his uncle John. Benny and John spoke to the principal of the school about the situation who organized a competition to promote inclusivity and respect among the students. The contest had two parts: a 100-meter dash and a "Who is the singer?" round. Benny won both events. He was also crowned the best student of the year. He gained respect and admiration among the students and made more friends. Inspired by his experience, Benny took action against bullying. He invited his classmates to be part of “The School of Warriors,” a project he had designed to educate and empower children to combat bullying, and racism. “The School of Warriors,” created a more inclusive community for all.
“The School of Warriors” became a platform for students to share their concerns, learn about the impact of challenges, and promote a culture of kindness and respect. Through this initiative, Benny was able to spread the message of the power of friendship and kindness to overcome bullying and abuse. This antibullying style of living brought happiness, togetherness, and progress to Rainbow for as long time can be counted.
